James has a plethora of experience in the field of health and well-being as a senior manager in a public health team providing strategic and operational oversight for health and well-being coaches in Greater Manchester. In his coaching practice, James takes an integrative approach to working with clients, supporting them to make meaningful change.
James is qualified to Master level as a Multi-Modality Practitioner and Habilitation Specialist. He is also qualified in Integrative Coaching, NLP, and Counselling Skills, holding a professional senior membership of the ACCPH (Accredited, Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists).
James has particular interest in the areas of Motivational Interviewing, Transactional Analysis, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Within his practice, James uses this integrative approach to support his clients to recognise barriers to change, identify values, set goals meaningful to them and take purposeful evidence-based steps towards change.
In his spare time James sits on the Board of Directors as a Director for a visual impairment charity in the Northwest, overseeing the strategic implementation of the business plan. Self-care is very important to James, he unwinds by playing music as a self-taught musician, engaging in regular psychical activity through attending the gym and sport. At the heart of everything is his family, he is husband and father of two children.
